Keyboard shortcuts
The keys worth learning, and where each one works.

| Ctrl + F | Find and replace inside the chapter you are editing |
| Ctrl + Shift + Q | Opens and closes quick notes |
| Ctrl + Shift + C | Opens and closes chat |
The command palette is the one that repays learning first. It searches every record in the project by name, so moving from a chapter to the character you just mentioned is two keystrokes and a few letters rather than a trip through the sidebar.
Find and replace works on the chapter open in front of you, and it applies replacements to the live document — so it is safe to use while somebody else is editing the same chapter beside you.

Reading a published story:

A note on the modifier
The list shows Ctrl. On a Mac the same shortcuts use Cmd, and the dialog you open with Shift + / shows whichever your keyboard actually has.
